On the 18th of December last, Aveiro Museum reopened after improvement and extension works.
The Portucel Soporcel group supported this project through the restoration of the “Tomb of D. João de Albuquerque and his wife D. Helena Pereira”.
This restored item occupies a prominent place in the ground floor gallery of the Museum and represents an historic personality linked to the region of Angeja, a parish bordering on the area of the Cacia Mill.
This support is part of the policy of social responsibility adopted by the Group aimed at preserving and enhancing the cultural heritage of the regions in which its Mills are located.
